Symposium Series is Popular
For the second summer in a row, HRMA has offered three symposiums on topics of interest to members. These events are scheduled during the summer to help members stay connected and up-to-date with current issues throughout the year, not just September through May. Topics this summer included: The 95th General Assembly - End of Session Report; Building Your Employment Brand; and Emerging Workforce Study®. Record Attendance at the 2010 State Conference
A record 550 attendees participated in the annual Missouri State SHRM Conference at Lake of the Ozarks August 4-6. Participants enjoyed three keynote presentations on goal-setting and communication, many informative concurrent sessions, vendor booths, and lots of networking. There were lots of familiar faces from our chapter and many attendees brought family members or friends to take advantage of the great lake setting.
Breakfast Meetings Increasingly Popular
Attendance has been steadily increasing at the regular monthly meetings that are held at breakfast. The full breakfast buffet makes it possible to arrive, eat, enjoy the program (and get recertification credit), and be at work soon after 9:00 a.m. But don't worry! Some of our meetings will still be sit-down dinner meetings preceded by seminars.
