Message From the President

Greetings HRMA!
I hope your Spring is getting off to a wonder start! While baseball season is upon us, the talk will be football at our April meeting. Jodie Cunningham, former Director of Employee Experience for the St. Louis/Los Angeles Rams, will be giving HRMA members the "inside scoop" on the move to L.A. from an HR perspective. It should be a fascinating (and hopefully cathartic) presentation!

The month of May brings more excitement for our members as we close out the first half of our year. On May 5th, we will be conducting the inaugural Missouri HR Day of Service with our partners from the National Association of African-American Human Resource Professionals and the United Way. This will be a great way for HR professionals to give back to St. Louis! Volunteer opportunities are still available, but they are filling up fast - click here for more details.

Our May monthly meeting will kick-off with a fun, casual speed-networking event. For our May keynote we have the privilege of hosting Dan Mehan from the Missouri Chamber of Commerce. Dan will be discussing MO 2030, which is an aggressive, multi-faceted initiative by the MO Chamber to aid economic development in our home state. This should be a phenomenal presentation and I encourage you all to invite your professional colleagues to hear what Dan has to say!

Don't forget about our New Member Mixer on May 10th!

Finally, I wanted to give a quick shout out to all of HRMA's phenomenal volunteers. We are fortunate to have such an engaged membership - Ellen Boyne and Katie Magoon are doing an awesome job with the rest of the Program Committee and the 2017 Conference; Andrew Metcalf and Josh Owings, who put out this phenomal newsletter every month; Ben Houseman, who leads our unbelievable Membership crew...not to mention Cara Jacobsen, our social media boss! There are literally dozens of volunteers (including our fantastic Board) who put in countless hours to HRMA. Too many to mention here, but please know your efforts are very much appreciated!

I hope everyone is doing well and I can't wait to see you all at one (or all) of our events in the next couple of months!
