It is essential to hire and retain talented, hard-working individuals who can help your business thrive. Competitive compensation and benefit programs are critical to attracting these employees and securing them for the long-term success of the business.

How would your business be affected if your most valuable employee quit tomorrow? If you're a small business owner who depends on the efforts of your best people, you need to provide strong incentives for those people to stay with you as opposed to going to work for a competitor. Businesses are more likely to offer an additional selective benefit if it's simple, effective, and flexible.

This seminar discusses how Key-Man employee benefits and executive bonus plans can help prevent this problem from arising and be able to maintain the success of your company.

These lesser known programs can be championed by the HR Director and human resource department to the business owner to compliment the company's current employee benefits plan. This huge value-add strategy session and workshop teaches the basic concepts in order for HR directors to discuss the concepts with the business owners and how to bring in specialists to design and implement the Executive Benefits program.

Our agenda is simple:
  1. The first item we will discuss is some of the challenges facings businesses like yours. (A simple and effective way to help attract, retain, and reward)
  2. Second, we'll talk about what executives are looking for in terms of benefits (Other sources of retirement income and life insurance protection)
  3. We will conclude with discussing in more detail a simple and effective solution for both creating solutions that:
    1. Encourage loyalty by rewarding top performers with benefits over and above base compensation
    2. Generate an immediate income tax deduction for the business, subject to reasonable compensation limits
    3. Control costs by determining which employee(s) participate and how much each receives
    4. Lessen the regulatory and administrative burden associated with qualified retirement plans
    5. Address both the protection and retirement needs for the executive
    6. Minimize or eliminate the executive's after-tax costs
    7. Provide incentives for the executive to achieve tenure or performance requirements

Brian Roberts wants to make it easy for his clients to plan for a secure financial future. As an experienced and knowledgeable financial advisor, Brian works with high-income individuals such as business owners, executives, physicians and medical professionals on comprehensive planning to help them manage their incomes and assets effectively in order to minimize risk and maximize opportunity. And, in addition to his work with own clients, as a founder of R&F Financial Group Brian's leadership role includes mentoring other financial professionals in the firm and sharing with them the skills and understanding he has gained in his financial services career.

As an advisor, Brian always listens carefully to his clients to find out what their objectives are; what's most important to them both now and in the future. He then helps them decide on a course of action beginning with the needs they've identified as most critical, and provides them with a financial plan built specifically to meet their unique needs. Whether their priorities are protecting a breadwinner's income, building a business, saving for retirement, or leaving a legacy, Brian's clients appreciate his high-touch process and individual attention to helping them manage their cash flow and make good financial decisions so they can not only prepare for tomorrow by may even be able to live better today.

Brian became interested in financial planning as a career while in college and earned an internship with a large, national financial services company where he began working as a financial professional after college. Brian and his wife Kylee settled in St. Louis, and when he met Mike Fleming, they realized they shared a vision of providing comprehensive financial planning with individualized "white glove" service to give their clients not only the confidence that comes with working to secure their financial future but also a planning experience they could feel good about.

In 2002, Brian first qualified for the prestigious "Million Dollar Round Table," which recognizes the top performers in the industry. His passion for his work is evident when he talks about the value proper planning can bring to a family, which he learned from someone who was personally introduced to Brian by his very first client. Unfortunately, the gentleman was terminally ill, so the planning was done quickly but it was in place when it was needed and Brian could keep the promise he had made that the family would be taken care of. This experience taught Brian the critical importance of providing his clients with protection plans along with investment strategies for total, comprehensive planning that addresses all their financial needs.

Outside of work, Brian's life is devoted to his family and community. Always athletic - he played football, basketball and baseball in high school - now Brian spends time volunteering his skills as a youth coach at the YMCA and in several youth soccer, basketball, tee ball and softball leagues. Family time is spent with his wife and children, Kendall and Brock, and often includes playing sports. Brian is an avid outdoorsman and loves spending time fishing, hunting, and sport shooting with family, friends and clients.
