Human Resources Manager - Talent Acquisition
As Watlow’s Human Resources Manager responsible for Talent Acquisition, you will be responding to the workforce needs of Watlow by collaborating with HR team members and business leaders across all sites; supporting the talent sourcing needs of our business by providing the best proactive recruitment programs including external candidate marketing and company branding. Important success factors will be maintaining current on changing workforce needs, hiring trends and legal statutes.  You will report directly to the Vice President, Human Resources and have strong working relationships with Watlow leaders and human resource team across the company in supporting the overall recruitment needs of the business.  This is a unique opportunity for the right individual who enjoys being a hands-on working manager, coaching others for success in talent selection and taking on the talent sourcing and pipeline challenges associated with our growing business.
Key Responsibilities will include:
  • Consult and partner with hiring managers, business leaders and human resources leaders to implement strategic BU talent acquisition initiatives
  • System administrator and subject matter expert for Watlow’s Global Recruitment/Job Posting system, providing guidance & training to users on operations and implementing process improvements
  • Coordinate immigration applications and visas, permanent residency sponsorship process, as well as other tasks needed to support immigration programs in coordination with outside law firm. Maintain immigration records, including Public Access Files
  • Leads effort on guiding compliance and consistent practices among sites on recordkeeping/recruitment & selection practices & posting/policy statements. Oversees our commitment and obligations as an AAP/EEO employer.
  • Establishes and maintains relationships at selected colleges/universities and oversees on-campus recruiting events including career fairs, class visits, career center connections, interviews, lunch and learns, and all other recruiting engagements
  • Leads the design and implementation of company branding and innovative recruitment strategies to include leveraging Social Media
  • Leads overall company efforts and programs on outreach and establishing relationships to attract military and individuals with disability.
  • Ensure a consistently positive and professional experience for each candidate through our outreach events, application process and selection process
  • Collaborate with Watlow Human Resources Manager, Talent Development in ensuring the success of our rotational engineering programs 
  • Facilitates, coaches, and mentors rapid improvement events for our recruitment systems and processes.

Requirements Must have:
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Eight years human resources generalist experience
  • Five years’ experience in leading/coordinating recruitment activities
  • Work experience that demonstrates effective project/event management capabilities
  • Solid hands-on analytical skills using an electronic application tracking system
  • Solid knowledge and interpretation of requirements for maintaining compliance with employment law, staffing and staffing systems
  • Willingness to travel up to 70% of time as needed for 4-6 weeks campus recruitment campaigns
