Human Resources Internship
  • Recruiting and Staffing: posting jobs, phone screening candidates, scheduling interviews, and assisting in the development of diversity and faculty recruitment projects
  • Benefits administration: Processing and inputting new hire paperwork and employee status changes for insurance products as well administration of mandated benefits. Assisting with the Health Fair in the fall.
  • Administrative and compliance support to include: Managing employment posters, COBRA administration, I-9 and other records, FLMA administration, coordinating meetings, employment verifications, and maintaining human resource files.
  • Assists in organizing and facilitating special employee events , such as the New Hire Breakfast, Orientation, and Bring Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day.
  • Assist with Human Resources projects, such as a Compensation Analysis.

A. Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, management, human resources, organizational psychology or other related fields.
  • Currently enrolled in a Master’s program

B. Technical Skills/Abilities:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Some familiarity with payroll/HRIS is preferred. Strong writing skills required. Well organized with a strong concern for quality and accuracy. Strong attention to detail skills

C. Interpersonal Skills:

  • Positive, mature, with excellent customer service skills, a high degree of confidentiality.
